Abacus - Australian Mutuals organises a number of events throughout the year to highlight the role credit unions, mutual building societies and friendly societies play in the retail financial services sector and the community.
Annual Industry Convention
The industry's keynote annual event combines education, focusing on hot topics facing the industry, with exploration of new business opportunities for our members.
The 2013 Abacus AM Institute Convention, will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 26-29 October 2013 in partnership between Abacus and the AM Institute as joint hosts of the premier annual event for the mutual financial services industry.
This year's event will include business sessions, the popular Emerging Leader program, a social program and other associated industry meetings such as a number of AGMs.

Parliamentary and community events are also organised by Abacus, working with our members to promote the interests and awareness of the mutual financial services and friendly society sectors. These range from the promotion of International Credit Union Day (third Thursday in October each year) to regular industry events around the country.
